Andrew (Andy) Gottschalk is a partner in KPMG LLP’s Advisory Services practice in Chicago. He also serves as the U.S. Sector Leader for State and Local Government and Higher Education (SLED) and the Consulting Sector Leader for SLED. Andy has more than 30 years of Information Technology experience and has served on numerous internal audit, quality assurance, implementation, vendor selection, and other engagements for state and local government clients.
At the state level he has served the States of Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Vermont. At the Municipal level he has conducted technology related projects for the City of Boston, the City of Chicago, the City of Detroit, the City of New York, and the City of Providence.
Andy earned a BS degree in commerce from Washington and Lee University, and graduated magna cum laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and New York, and a past member of the Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society’s Information System Committee. He is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, Association of Government Accountants, and the Project Management Institute. Andy is also a certified Government Finance Manager.
He serves on the Board and the Executive Committee of the Civic Federation of Illinois and is the Co-Chairman of the Partners Council of Civic Consulting Alliance of Illinois and Chicago.
