KPMG US managing director and US-LATAM Corridor co-lead, International Tax and M&A Tax, Tax & Legal
Giorgio is a Managing Director with KPMG U.S’s International Tax Practice in Miami. He has more than 10 years of experience in M&A, cross-border transactions, and start-up development.
Throughout his career, Giorgio has assisted multinational companies in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and other divisive strategies across Latin America. Most recently, however, he was the tax lead for SoftBank’s Latin America Fund, planning and executing more than 80 investments in tech stat-ups in Latin America, deploying US$8 billion across the region. Further, as part of that role, he provided guidance and assistance to the Fund’s portfolio companies as they matured and developed, all the way to public listing or strategic acquisition.
Prior to joining KPMG U.S., Giorgio spent almost 3 years as the tax director for SoftBank’s Latin America Fund, Opportunity Fund and Miami Initiative. Previously, for 8 years, he was part of the KPMG U.S’s M&A Tax, leading the Miami Office team, as well as working closely with the Latin America Tax leadership.
