Ryan Evans

Ryan is a Partner in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP) with over 25 years of experience. In this role, he supports the firm’s efforts to enhance audit quality, with a particular focus on internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) and related auditing and professional practice matters.

Previously, Ryan served as a Lead Audit Engagement Partner in the KPMG Phoenix audit practice, where he led audits of large, multinational SEC registrants and was responsible for overall engagement leadership, audit quality, and the coordination of audit execution across multiple international member firms. Ryan also serves as an SEC Reviewing Partner, helping ensure compliance with SEC regulations, PCAOB standards, and US GAAP.

Earlier in his career, Ryan was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission where he worked on rulemaking initiatives and advised on financial reporting and ICFR matters.

Ryan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and is a CPA licensed in Arizona, California and New York.
