Tarek Ebeid

Tarek Ebeid is the KPMG Private Leader for Audit and Assurance. In this role, Tarek partners with leaders across the Firm to deliver a distinctive audit approach—combining technology-enabled execution, deep industry insights, and technical expertise—to private companies, their founders, and investors at every stage of their business journey.

Previously, Tarek served as Partner in Charge and Professional Practice Partner for the KPMG Northern California Audit Practice, leading a team of more than 750 audit professionals. In this capacity, Tarek shaped practice strategy, managed key client relationships, provided technical guidance, and collaborated across functions to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

With more than 35 years of experience serving both public and private markets, Tarek has led some of the Firm’s most significant engagements. He was Global Lead Audit Partner for one of KPMG’s largest private equity clients and for a leading financial institution supporting the innovation economy. Tarek is an AICPA-certified accountant, an SEC Reviewing Partner, and a member of the Dean’s Circle Advisory Board for the University of San Francisco’s School of Management.
