Corinne Dougherty is the Sustainability Audit Leader for KPMG US. Based in Washington, DC, she has significant experience providing sustainability reporting and assurance services coupled with over 20 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to clients. This extensive background positions her at the intersection of sustainability strategy and reporting, where she frequently engages with the media and clients to provide insightful education and practical guidance.
In her role, Corinne spearheads initiatives to upskill KPMG professionals in sustainability, driving the integration of sustainable practices across all of KPMG’s services. Her commitment to education extends beyond KPMG; she served as an adjunct professor for four years, teaching graduate courses in the Masters of Accountancy program at The George Washington University.
Corinne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant. She also earned an Executive Certificate in Advancing Sustainability from NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business, underscoring her dedication to advancing sustainability in the business world.
