Nathan DeShong is a Cyber & Technology Risk Director within KPMG LLP’s Advisory Services. He currently leads KPMG’s Zero Trust portfolio at the Air Force and Navy. During his career, Nathan led Risk Management Framework (RMF), Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Technical Controls Assessments, Business Impact/Risk Assessments, Zero Trust, Microsegmentation, and Security Architecture projects. Nathan spent 19 years in the Navy’s nuclear engineering and information warfare communities with significant project management, training, and operations leadership experience onboard aircraft carriers and with Naval operators. Nathan excels at maximizing project team performance, while bringing the versatility and diversity of experience necessary to address the full range of client challenges. He is a graduate of Bucknell, George Washington University, and the University of South Carolina. He currently holds the CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CRISC, CISM, CEH, GICSP, PMP, and GDSA among other industry certifications.
