Jasmine Desai
Manager, Washington National Tax
Jasmine is a Manager in the State and Local Tax group for the KPMG Washington National Tax practice with over six years of experience. She provides technical and engagement support for the KPMG State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, focusing on new and emerging tax changes and directly assists clients with a variety of tax-related income/franchise, financial services, and associated issues. She is part of the KPMG State Tax Resource Network as a secondary Income Franchise Tax specialist for Maryland. Her day-to-day consulting focuses on research-based projects on conformity, nexus studies, sales factor sourcing, and tax planning memos and restructuring considerations related to state income franchise tax.
Jasmine graduated from George Mason University with a BS degree in Finance and a JD degree from the Antonin Scalia Law School. She is a licensed member of the Virginia Bar and began her career at KPMG in Washington National Tax - State and Local Tax after graduating from law school. Jasmine is a regular instructor at national KPMG training sessions on various income franchise matters. She also represents KPMG as a member of the AICPA SALT Technical Resource Panel.
