Jasmine Desai

Jasmine Desai is a Manager with the KPMG Washington National Tax - State and Local Tax practice, based in Washington, D.C. With over 6 years of experience, she provides technical and engagement support for the KPMG State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, focusing on new and emerging tax changes and directly assists clients with a variety of tax-related income/franchise, financial services, and associated issues. She is part of the KPMG State Tax Resource Network as a secondary Income Franchise Tax specialist for Maryland. Her day-to-day consulting focuses on research-based projects on conformity, nexus studies, sales factor sourcing, and tax planning memos and restructuring considerations related to state income franchise tax.

Jasmine graduated from George Mason University with a BS degree in Finance and a JD degree from the Antonin Scalia Law School. She is a licensed member of the Virginia Bar and began her career at KPMG in Washington National Tax - State and Local Tax after graduating from law school. Jasmine is a regular instructor at national KPMG training sessions on various income franchise matters. She also represents KPMG as a member of the AICPA SALT Technical Resource Panel.
