Jeffrey M. Cook
Senior Manager, Washington National Tax
Jeffrey is a Senior Manager in the State and Local Tax group for the KPMG Washington National Tax practice. Jeff provides thought leadership for the SALT practice by authoring internal and external publications, tracking legislative, administrative, and case law developments; designs curriculum and instructs KPMG professionals at firm trainings; and creates and updates the SALT practice's various resources and tools. He also continues to assist clients across the country with their issues involving sales and use tax and other transaction taxes.
Jeff has over ten years of experience in assisting clients, primarily in sales and use taxes, providing an extensive range of tax consulting services to clients in diverse industries. Prior to joining KPMG in Kansas City in 2013, Jeff practiced law in Kansas and Missouri.
Jeff has authored articles in numerous tax publications such as Tax Notes, The Tax Adviser, and Bloomberg Tax Daily Tax Report. He holds a JD degree from Washburn University School of Law and a BS degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association.
