Jeff Cook is a Managing Director in the KPMG State and Local Tax (SALT) practice where he serves as an indirect tax expert for the Washington National Tax group (WNT). At WNT, Jeff provides thought leadership for the SALT practice, develops curriculum and instructs KPMG professionals at trainings, and serves as a consulting resource for SALT engagement teams across the nation in matters involving refund claims, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and controversies. Jeff is also a frequent speaker on indirect tax issues at universities, seminars, and tax conferences.
Jeff has over fourteen years of experience in assisting clients primarily in sales and use taxes. Prior to joining KPMG, Jeff practiced law in Kansas and Missouri. He earned a J.D. degree from Washburn University School of Law and a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
