Amitabh is a Director in KPMG’s Management Consulting practice, with over 13 years of total industry and consulting experience across technology, automotive, and financial services industries. He has deep background in financial processes and operational improvement, including financial reporting, planning budgeting and forecasting, program and project management, and development of analytical, data-driven frameworks.
Prior to joining KPMG, Amitabh worked in Product Development and Management roles with Oracle, and its related organizations. He successfully led multiple cross-functional project implementations and solutions deployments for mission-critical systems. He has also worked within the Principal Investments division for a Fortune 500 group company, and was responsible for identifying strategies to facilitate the firm’s growth objectives through strategic asset acquisitions.
Engagement Experience
- Developed an enterprise data model and transition strategy for a USD 1 Billion Global OEM supplier to enable standardization of master data elements across all entities and underlying manufacturing systems
- Established and helped achieve organizational alignment on critical SAP design, and configuration elements within and outside the Accounting and Finance (A&F) organizations for North America Automotive Region of a Global Manufacturer
- Facilitated in expansion of select SAP design elements (i.e. Chart of Accounts, Management Reporting, Cost Center Attributes, etc.) for North America Automotive Region in coordination with overall efforts by the Global Headquarters to replace legacy systems and aging A&F systems
- Developed operational and transition strategy to carve-out and establish a USD 1.5 Billion shared services organization, for a leading global automotive manufacturer, intended to support its core corporate headquarter functions within the North America region
- Managed the creation of business requirements, implementation strategy and detailed future state operational model to support development of General Ledger and Management / CXO Reporting systems and processes for the shared services organization
