Ozan Cakmak

Ozan serves as a Director at KPMG's International Development Assistance Services (IDAS) Institute in Washington, DC. With over eighteen years of experience, he specializes in business and human rights, labor policies, socio-economic development and inclusion, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. His diverse portfolio includes work with multilateral development banks, government, and private sector organizations.
At KPMG, Ozan provides strategy, advisory and evaluation services to multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, United Nations agencies, donor agencies and governments. He also guides KPMG sector teams and other member firms collaborating with these entities. Additionally, he spearheads thought leadership initiatives at the IDAS Institute, focusing on the future of work, just transition and climate finance.
Before joining KPMG, Ozan was part of IFC's Blended Finance and Corporate Strategy Department, focusing on private sector solutions and investments in emerging markets. He has managed large development programs and policy advisory work at UNDP and ILO, "specializing in areas like green economy, gender and social inclusion, and resilience response. His professional experience spans across various regions including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
