Frederik Bort is a Managing Director with Economic and Valuation Services (National Office – EVS) and a member of the Accounting Standards group within the KPMG Department of Professional Practice. He has more than 20 years of experience in valuation and transaction related matters for public and private clients. Frederik has specialized on the interrelation of financial reporting and valuation, the interpretation of accounting standards and the development of related guidance for both US GAAP and IFRS. Frederik first joined the KPMG Advisory practice in Stuttgart, Germany in 2001 and joined the KPMG Department of Professional Practice in June 2017.

Frederik’s areas of expertise include fair value measurements, business combinations and impairment related topics and he is a frequent contributor to internal and external thought leadership.

Prior to joining the National Office, Frederik has been responsible for various valuation and business combination engagements for both domestic and global clients. He has extensive experience with regard to the valuation of intangible assets in complex settings and those involving US GAAP as well as IFRS.
