Rick is a Principal in KPMG’s Milwaukee Tax practice and KPMG’s national practice leader for reverse sales and use tax audits. He has more than 20 years of experience in providing U.S. indirect tax services to his clients. He represents clients across a broad range of industries in numerous state and local tax jurisdictions.
Rick’s main area of focus has been indirect tax consulting services for the communication and manufacturing industries. He specializes in providing transaction tax refund recovery and audit defense services within these industries.
As KPMG’s national practice leader for reverse sales and use tax audits, he works closely with KPMG Ignition to develop machine learning models, visualization dashboards, and automation tools to supplement KPMG’s review process. These tools and technologies help to significantly mitigate the risk of missing any opportunities, increase the consistency of KPMG’s work product, and help clients save on time and resources.
