Anthony R. Berceau

Anthony Berceau is a Partner in the KPMG Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice and is based in Seattle. Anthony has 20+ years of experience advising clients with M&A tax planning, structuring, diligence, and related compliance matters. Anthony worked with the M&A tax practice in Chicago for 10+ years prior to his move to Seattle where he leads the Firm’s M&A Tax practice in the Pacific Northwest.

Since joining the M&A Tax practice, Anthony has provided tax structuring and tax due diligence services for numerous domestic and cross-border transactions for private equity and strategic buyers. Anthony specializes in assisting clients in calculating ownership shift percentages pursuant to Section 382 and applicable net operating loss limitations and has gained considerable experience in helping clients with calculating their year-to-date earnings and profits and stock basis in subsidiaries.

Prior to joining the M&A Tax practice, Anthony was with the Federal Tax practice in the KPMG Minneapolis office. While in Minneapolis, Anthony completed U.S. federal and state income tax returns for C corporation, S corporation, and partnership clients in the investment management and manufacturing industries.
