Glen A Benson

Glen is a senior audit partner in KPMG’s Investment Management practice in New York. Glen is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day audit execution for several of the Firm’s leading investment management engagements, driving the resolution of technical matters and delivering on reporting deadlines.

Glen has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a specialization in investment management, including private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, investment advisers, and diversified financial institutions. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, including large, multi-national financial institutions and the investment management businesses therein. Glen is the lead audit engagement partner for several of KPMG’s private equity audit clients. His experience includes time in KPMG’s Transaction Services practice, providing merger and acquisition due diligence services to private equity firms and various other financial institutions. In addition, Glen is IFRS accredited and has worked on the audits of private funds and investment advisors reporting under IFRS.

Glen has led KPMG’s Family For Literacy charitable program in the New York Office, promoting literacy in low-income public school districts.

Glen has published “Primary Focus on the Secondary Market” which analyzes the rise of the private equity secondary market.
