Scott Belding is a Partner in KPMG LLP’s Indirect Tax Technology practice, bringing over 26 years of success and innovation in tax technology. Specializing in transaction tax automation and business process optimization, Scott’s focus is on global indirect taxes, including VAT.
In his role, Scott leads indirect tax transformation projects for large multinational companies, encompassing e-invoicing implementations, tax engine integrations, native ERP tax solutions, and comprehensive tax transformation initiatives. He is the state & local tax leader for KPMG’s MidAmerica business unit and serves as the U.S. national e-Invoicing leader.
Scott’s extensive experience spans multiple industries including chemical manufacturing, automotive, oil and gas, utilities, healthcare products, clothing retail, global ecommerce, healthcare insurance, technology, and water & energy technologies. He has successfully implemented innovative technology solutions across complex global companies engaged in multi-year transformation processes.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Northwood University, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Scott is a seasoned speaker, having presented at events such as the Thomson Reuters Share Forum, the Institute For Professionals in Taxation, the Council On State Taxation, and the Global KPMG Indirect Tax Conference.
