U.S. Tax Practice Leader – Markets

Pete is a partner and the US Tax Practice Leader, Markets. In this role, he is charged with driving go-to-market initiatives across all the KPMG Tax practice business units, service lines, and industry sectors.  He is responsible for developing agile, real-time campaigns to seize opportunities arising from changes in legislation and market dynamics.

Pete also collaborates closely with Audit, Advisory, and Clients & Markets to foster seamless cross-functional alignment and enhance our go-to-market strategy. Additionally, he works with tax partners and managing directors and leadership to strengthen lead tax partner capabilities, grow our accounts, and refine our pricing strategies. The Markets team which he leads also includes professionals in marketing, client growth & optimization, go to market professionals, market relationship directors, knowledge management and proposal coordinators.

Additionally, Pete leverages KPMG alliance partnerships and explores various market opportunities, including potential tax-related acquisitions. 

Pete’s experience is focused on go-to market execution, sales strategy and account development.  Previously, Pete was the Pennsylvania Tax Business Unit Partner in Charge responsible for running the tax operations and go-to market activities for over 500 professionals in the Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh offices.  Prior to that Pete served as the National Leader for KPMG’s Accounting Methods and Credit Services (AMCS) practice, comprising credits, fixed assets, and accounting methods. In this role he was responsible for building and maintaining a national AMCS practice, including overall operations, strategy, technical project reviews, undergraduate and experienced hire recruiting, quality growth of AMCS professionals and knowledge management. 

Pete has a BS degree in Accounting from Drexel University and a MST degree from Villanova University.  He is a frequent speaker at various KPMG internal and external events.
