Stephen Bartel

Stephen is a leader in the KPMG Cyber practice within the Privacy, Data Protection and Information Governance service group. He co-leads our Data Retention and Deletion Advisory services practice. He has more than 25 years privacy, compliance risk management, and examination experience. He has a strong background working with privacy, compliance, business lines, and auditors to identify internal risks and control weaknesses in order to mitigate regulatory compliance exposure. His current and past clients include some of the leading entities in the financial services industry, including Fintechs, as well as experience as a banking regulator.

Through his experiences, he has served his clients’ through leading their efforts through planning, execution, and delivery of transformational efforts, gap analyses, risk assessments, recommendations, and remediation efforts.
