Brian Fields serves as Enterprise Innovation Leader at KPMG, where he leads firm‑wide efforts to harness AI and emerging technologies to reinvent professional services. With deep experience scaling intelligent systems and reimagining delivery models, Brian helps organizations move from experimentation to enterprise‑grade innovation—responsibly, strategically, and at speed.

Brian focuses on enterprise‑level innovation and disruption at the intersection of strategy, artificial intelligence, data, and execution. Brian previously served as Transformation Leader for KPMG’s Audit and Assurance function, focused on reimagining the audit operating model, leveraging artificial intelligence, centralized centers of excellence, and just‑in‑time access to knowledge and capabilities to deliver higher quality, greater insight, expanded coverage, and faster, more consistent execution.

Across his career at KPMG, Brian has led a range of innovative initiatives, including efforts related to emerging regulatory issues, blockchain and digital assets, workforce shaping, and resource management. Brian has served as engagement partner to a range of companies, including coordinating the worldwide audit of a large, diversified multinational organization, but also serving venture-backed startups. He served externally as financial advisor to the Board of a large hedge fund manager, supporting the design and maturation of governance and oversight capabilities in the transition from founder led organization to multi-generational institution.

Brian was a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2008 to 2010, where his work focused on issues arising from the financial crisis, including loan loss provisioning and special purpose entities—providing deep exposure to standard setting, regulatory policy, and systemic risk.
