Overcoming the challenges of BEAD Program implementation

Over the past year, states have been working to access broadband funding made available through the BEAD program. Although this is a step in the right direction to determine each states’ broadband goals and objectives, states should also be prepared to navigate the intricacies of designing and implementing their proposed subprograms. This paper offers insights into the key factors for a successful implementation of the BEAD program and outlines critical elements states must consider establishing efficient subprograms and maximize federal funding.
