Partner, Governance, Risk & Controls Advisory and Board Advisory Services

KPMG Australia

Caron is a Partner in KPMG's Governance, Risk & Controls Advisory and Board Advisory Services groups, located in Perth, Western Australia.

She rejoined KPMG in 2007 after working in senior finance and company secretarial roles with private and publicly listed entities across sectors as diverse as mining, agriculture and FMCG. She brought back to KPMG commercial experience, adding to her experience in external audit, internal audit and risk advisory gained in South Africa and Australia. Caron feels very at home wearing a hard hat, having worked with global and local companies in the extractive industries sector.

Caron's purpose is to "help businesses bridge any gaps they may have that are stopping them from meeting their objectives". With this in mind, she works with clients of all sizes and at all stages in their governance journeys, giving her an appreciation for the need for scalable processes and frameworks. Accordingly, Caron is regularly called on to lecture at universities and for various professional bodies. Further, Caron loves spending time in boardrooms providing professional development training to board members and management as well as helping boards and management to continually improve.
