As Chairman of KPMG Australia’s Global Japanese practice, Ben provides advice to support Japanese investment in Australia. He coordinates the full range of advisory services that KPMG provides to support Japanese investment, and is actively involved in Japanese business and community organisations. He is passionate about growing strong economic and cultural ties between Japan and Australia, and regularly visits Japan and hosts seminars in relation to investment and trade opportunities between Japan and Australia.

For more than 25 years, Ben has provided taxation and broader corporate advice to large, publicly listed multinationals, with a focus on companies involved in the energy and natural resource sector. Ben’s extensive experience covers large, high-profile merger, acquisition, and divestment transactions, particularly those that support Asian inbound investment. He advises clients across a range of areas including corporate tax, indirect tax, tax management, transfer pricing, tax controversy and employment taxes.

In 1998, Ben joined KPMG and became a partner in 2007. With his extensive background in tax and corporate advisory, Ben is able to provide deep taxation and industry insights to KPMG’s clients.

In his spare time, Ben is kept busy by his two young children. He follows AFL and keeps fit through cycling and running.
