Stefanie is a KPMG Director with a focus on critical infrastructure operational resilience, SOCI implementation and Cyber Security policy and strategy. She joined KPMG in 2022 bringing more than 25 years of public and private sector experience, including across a range of senior positions within Government and the APS in complex policy and sensitive operational settings.

As a senior executive at the Department of Home Affairs, Stefanie led the team that developed the underpinning policy approach to the SOCI reforms. Stefanie was Senior Adviser for cyber security to the former Minister for Home Affairs at the time the SOCI reforms were passed through Parliament. As part of this role, she led the the delivery of Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy 2020. 

As Senior Adviser to the former Minister for Defence, Stefanie was responsible for cyber security operations and intelligence functions. She oversaw the development of ASD’s $10B RedSpice cyber capabilities package. 

Since joining KPMG Australia, Stefanie advised Federal Government in relation to Cyber Security issues and worked closely with industry to implement their SOCI obligations. Stefanie has a track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders and clients to deliver great outcomes.
