As an Associate Director within KPMG’s Policy, Economics and Public Impact team, Ixchel's focus is supporting education sector clients navigate emerging and transformative strategic and operational priorities. She is a skilled leader and plays a key role in project management by providing high-level advice and recommendations to assist clients with decision-making, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and navigation of complex program and risk management.
Ixchel has the experience and expertise to negotiate effectively to support the translation of our work into relevant and practical outcomes that education partners value and need. She has managed engagements with state and federal governments, higher education providers, and within the vocational education and training sector.
Over a 15-year period, Ixchel gained extensive experience in academic and professional management roles within universities. She helped senior managers and clients in complex and fast-paced operating environments which included the development of whole-of-institutional strategies and initiatives to advance engagement, research and innovation agendas, as well as driving outcomes of lasting value.
Prior to KPMG, Ixchel worked in senior roles with a leading university in South Australia. She holds a PhD in Medicine and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, and is undertaking an MBA.
