Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia issued updates concerning electronic invoicing

The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) on 28 June 2024 issued the following updates concerning electronic invoicing (e-invoicing):

  • Updated versions of the e-invoice guideline (version 3.0) and e-invoice specific guideline (version 2.2)
  • Updates to the general “frequently asked questions” (FAQs) as well as FAQs for specific industries including insurance and Takaful, healthcare, tourism, aviation and financial services, stockbroking and unit trust
  • SDK Updates and SDK FAQ in order to prepare taxpayers for the upcoming MyInvois System
