Sweden and Denmark announced that they agreed to changes to the Öresund Agreement

Sweden and Denmark announced that they agreed to changes to the Öresund Agreement, which governs the taxation of cross-border workers in the Öresund region.

The changes would make the conditions for working remotely more flexible, extend the rules to public as well as private employees, and equalize the rules for taxing pensions between the two countries.

The intention is for the agreement to be completed and signed during the year so that the new rules can become effective in 2025. However, no draft agreement has yet been published.
