January 2024 statements have not been posted in the TAXISnet system for submission

The tax authority announced that, due to changes in the statements of withholding of Extraordinary Defence Contribution and GHS Contribution on Dividends (TF603) and Interest (TF602), the January 2024 statements have not been posted in the TAXISnet system for submission.

It is expected that they will be ready for submission within the next few days.

Based on the above, the Commissioner of Taxation has announced that no administrative penalty will be imposed for the January 2024 returns, which will be submitted on or before 31 March 2024.

KPMG observation

The deadline for timely payment of the withholding for the emergency defense contribution and the GHS contribution on dividends (code 603/703) and interest (code 602/702) remains 29 February 2024, facilitated via the tax portal. Payments made after this date will be subject to the penalties and interest prescribed by law.
