Since we first published this piece (October 2022), CSO Gen John “Jay” Raymond has retired, and succeeded by Gen B. Chance Saltzman. Earlier this year, Gen Saltzman shared his Lines of Effort (LOE) in which he calls out the need to amplify Guardian Spirit and how the force will improve their approach to personnel management. Change at this scale is difficult and complex, but it is essential to bring about change that will increase the probability of success. We look at where and how to get started to meet that challenge.
