Martin Schaad has been a partner since 2001 and led KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice since 2016. As an experienced specialist, he supports clients and KPMG audit teams in solving complex technical issues across a broad range of subject areas.
Martin has worked for KPMG since 1992. A Swiss Certified Public Accountant, he has vast experience in auditing annual and consolidated financial statements of private and listed companies of various sizes and industries (with a focus on: transportation, tourism, hospitality/hotel industry, technology and real estate). Martin has in-depth knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER. He has supported clients as an auditor and advisor in various capital market transactions, including IPOs and financing. He has also been involved in accounting standard conversion projects as well as in acquisitions and valuations.
Martin worked for KPMG in New York from 1996 to 2000, where he strengthened his knowledge with international clients from various industries. From 2004 to 2010, Martin managed KPMG’s Zurich office. Since 2019, he has represented KPMG in the EXPERTsuisse Committee for Auditing.
