Mohamad serves as an Audit Partner based in Zurich, specializing in financial statement audits and sustainability assurance services for global and multinational clients. He also leads the U.S. Accounting and Reporting Group (USARG) in Switzerland, overseeing a large and diverse team of professionals. As Head of the USARG, he has operational responsibility for all US accounting and auditing engagements.
Throughout his career, Mohamad has worked with KPMG’s largest global and multinational clients, bringing in extensive accounting knowledge and in-depth technical expertise in SEC reporting requirements and ICOFR (SOX) compliance. He works closely with clients on complex accounting issues, as well as multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary projects, including those related to mergers and acquisitions, divestments, accounting standards implementations, and implementation of ICOFR, and has successfully led the coordination of large scale global audits and projects involving 30+ countries simultaneously.
Since 2022, he has expanded his services to include ESG reporting, conducting reporting gaps and assurance readiness assessments, and providing assurance services for reporting in accordance with the CSRD, GRI standards, Swiss Code of Obligations, and other complex client developed criteria in an evolving sustainability reporting space. He also supports clients in preparing for the forthcoming CSRD reporting requirements.
