Mohamad Midani serves as an Audit Partner based in Zurich, specializing in financial statement audits and sustainability assurance services for global and multinational clients.
Throughout his career, Mohamad has worked with KPMG’s largest global and multinational clients, bringing in extensive accounting knowledge and in-depth technical expertise in SEC reporting requirements and ICOFR (SOX) compliance. He works closely with clients on complex accounting issues, as well as multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary projects, including those related to mergers and acquisitions, divestments, accounting standards implementations, and implementation of ICOFR, and has successfully led the coordination of large scale global audits and projects involving 30+ countries simultaneously.
Since 2022, he has expanded his services to include ESG reporting, conducting reporting gaps and assurance readiness assessments, and providing assurance services for reporting aligned with the GRI standards, Swiss Code of Obligations, the SEC Climate Rule, and other complex client developed criteria in an evolving sustainability reporting space. He also supports clients in preparing for the forthcoming CSRD reporting requirements.
Prior to joining KPMG Switzerland in 2015, he worked in the audit practice of KPMG U.S. where he served publicly listed and private multinational clients reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS across various sectors including manufacturing, automotive, metals, and professional services.
