Webcast overview
Companies must embrace digital information and emerging technologies to compete effectively in today’s global marketplace. Yet, these advances can also make an organization more vulnerable to data access and security risks from external and internal threats. Often the internal risk associated with business applications is overlooked, or controls over these applications are not commensurate with the controls in place to mitigate external threats.
As more best-of-breed cloud-based business applications are introduced as a part of transformation initiatives, it is important to make sure the right controls around access control management are built into these applications. Additional governance, risk, and compliance considerations should also be included in these transformation initiatives, as security and controls are designed in and across business applications. Traditional controls such as Separation of Duties (SOD) and user access reviews (certifications) are still required to support access control management, but how they are applied and reviewed in today’s business application space has changed.
Join KPMG and Fastpath on April 13, 2023, for a CPE webcast, where we will dive deep into new approaches required to adequately secure the business application threat landscape.
Specifically, we will discuss the following:
- The shifting risk landscape across the cloud and best-of-breed applications
- Cross-application SOD
- Access certifications and business process owners
- Managing controls across the application landscape
- Balancing external and internal threats for true enterprise security
This webcast will last approximately 60 minutes. Participants may earn one continuing professional education (CPE) credit for this webcast.
