Danny Wong
Office Leader, Audit Managing Director
Danny is a managing director and office leader of KPMG’s Honolulu office and has over 30 years of experience in providing auditing and accounting services in various industries, including healthcare, real estate, banking, hospitality, insurance, and not-for-profit organizations.
Professional and industry experience
Danny has extensive experience in providing professional services to clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare companies. His experience on healthcare companies includes experience in managing audits of large integrated delivery health systems, health plans, and community hospitals.
Danny has experience in auditing publicly-traded Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) companies and performing Uniform Guidance single audits. He also has experience with the filing of SEC registrations under the 1933 and 1934 Acts and tax-exempt bond offerings.
Other activities
Danny has served as an instructor for KPMG’s national training programs. He continues to be a professional development instructor for the office. He participated in the national pilot program for the release of KPMG’s electronic audit application and subsequently served as a technical resource for the audit application.
Danny has been involved in the firm’s new hire recruting throughout his tenure at KPMG and serves on the firm’s culture council.
Danny currently serves on the University of Hawaii School of Accountancy Advisory Board and the Junior Achievement of Hawaii Board of Directors. He previously served on the board of Moanalua Gardens Foundation and various school organizations such as the parent teacher student association (PTSA), school community council (SCC), and music booster associations.
