Billy Williams

Billy is a Partner in Audit practice in the Houston office. He has more than 16 years of experience. He has extensive experience performing financial statement audits and audits of internal controls over financial reporting for public and private entities.

Professional and Industry Experience

As a Partner in KPMG Houston Energy and Industrial Products Groups, Billy has substantial experience leading and coordinating financial statement audits and audits of internal control over financial reporting. Billy is a member of KPMG’s Revenue Recognition Network which is focused interpretation of and transition to the new revenue recognition standard. He is a frequent speaker on revenue recognition at KPMG internal and external programs and webcasts, such as KPMG’s Executive Education courses and CFO Financial Forum Webcasts.

Billy serves as a local and national instructor for KPMG. Billy has instructed on a number of topics such as KPMG methodology, technical accounting and auditing topics.  Billy has also presented several technical topics to external audiences of varying sizes. He completed a 3-year rotation in KPMG’s Professional Practice Group in New York City, where he served as a team member of the Revenue, Lease, Income tax and IFRS technical topic groups.
