Rob Werling

Rob is a partner in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP) and is currently a member of the topic team related to SEC rules and regulations and the related financial reporting requirements. He closely monitors the rulemaking activities of the SEC, assisting in the development of various technical publications and updates on these topics.
Previously, Rob served KPMG’s Kansas City audit practice for over 10 years, providing audits of financial statements and internal controls for multi-national SEC registrants in the transportation and other industries.
Rob has significant experience with technical accounting issues related to leasing, revenue recognition, business combinations, income taxes, among others. In addition, he has a thorough understanding of the SEC rules and regulations on financial reporting related topics.
Rob is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Kansas, Missouri, and New York.
