Bela has over 15 years of extensive experience in dealing with troubled companies and providing guidance for in- and out-of-court restructurings. Bela's also focuses on consolidated return issues and corporate tax matters related to acquisitions, distributions, and divestitures. She advises multinational corporations on the U.S. tax aspects of their structures, operations, and transactions. Bela is a respected author, contributing a chapter to Collier on Bankruptcy Taxation and writing articles for publications such as Tax Notes and The Tax Adviser. Bela is also a sought-after lecturer on corporate tax matters and frequently serves as a panelist for various professional groups.
Bela Unell holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Columbia University School of Law, and prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Case Western Reserve University.
