Ryanne Tannenbaum

Ryanne Tannenbaum is a Senior Manager with the KPMG State and Local Tax practice. Based in Boston, Ryanne has over 9 years of experience advising multinational clients on indirect tax matters with a primary concentration on sales and use tax. She is a part of the KPMG State Tax Resource Network as an Indirect Tax specialist in 4 of the New England states: Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Ryanne has experience assisting clients with tax planning, remediation and diligence. More specifically, her day-to-day consulting focuses on research-based projects, nexus studies, complex product taxability analyses, exposure quantifications, tax planning memos, audit defense and compliance with filing regimes related to sale and use tax. Ryanne has been actively assisting clients on their various economic nexus and marketplace facilitator concerns since the Wayfair decision.
Ryanne graduated from UMass Amherst with a BA in Legal Studies and from Suffolk University School of Law. She is a licensed member of the Massachusetts Bar and began her career at KPMG in New York after graduating from law school. Ryanne went on to graduate from Boston University with her L.L.M in Taxation while working full-time at KPMG. She is on the Boston KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) Leadership Council, she speaks at conferences in the New England area on various SALT topics, and is a regular instructor at national KPMG trainings on numerous sales and use tax matters.
