Greg Sweigart
Manager, Washington National Tax
Greg is a manager in the KPMG Washington National Tax (“WNT”) Accounting Methods and Credit Services (“AMCS”) practice with over nine years of experience guiding clients through complex tax issues, including the R&D tax credit, section 174, the employee retention credit, and tax controversy with Federal and state taxing authorities.
Greg’s responsibilities with WNT include the review of qualitative and quantitative client deliverables, internal consultation with KPMG field teams, external consultation with clients and prospective clients, analysis of statutory and regulatory developments and related case law, opinion drafting, and the creation of internal and external materials for training and marketing.
Prior to joining WNT, Greg was a manger with KPMG’s AMCS practice. There, Greg led client engagements in industries including software, engineering, manufacturing, banking, and aerospace. Greg both personally performed and led project teams throughout information collection and analysis, technical interviews, the preparation of calculations and workbooks, and the drafting and review of written deliverables.
Greg received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 2013, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
