Scott Stein is an Audit Partner serving KPMG’s National Insurance Practice out of the Atlanta office. He has over 23 years of experience at KPMG providing both SEC registrant and private company financial statement audit, audit of internal control (including Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and Model Audit Rule requirements), and advisory services on IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and Statutory basis of accounting.
He has served life and annuity companies and property and casualty companies (including captive insurers) ranging in size from small mutual companies to publicly listed Fortune 500 companies with international operations. Scott has significant international experience in the insurance industry in dealing with several international companies and locations.
Scott has been a speaker at various KPMG Insurance Industry Conferences covering areas such as internal controls over financial reporting, regulatory updates, and insurance industry hot topics.
