As a Deal Advisory Director, Russell is responsible for providing advice on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. He has over 25 years of healthcare, technology, and operations experience with focus on leading and delivering integration and synergy engagements. Russell enjoys helping his clients position their organizations for success through strategic planning and partnership facilitation engagements. Before joining KPMG, Russell worked in corporate strategy at AT&T, as an SVP at McKesson Technology Solutions and as a Chief Product Officer at a private equity company. He has been based in Atlanta, GA for 20 years.
Professional and Industry Experience:
- Russell has led a variety of diligence projects for leading Healthcare and Life Science corporations. He has managed the support for the separation of a $5B multinational diagnostics, industrial research, and life / food science company.
- Managed the separation support of a multinational healthcare corporation for the US and Latin American segments in standing up a global and regional governance structure that enabled central coordination of a comprehensive end-to-end Day 1 readiness initiative, hypercare, cutover, and business ramp up.
- On the sell side, Russell has helped clients prepare businesses or divisions for sale and has led an Integration Management Office across multiple workstreams, functions and business units.
- As an industry leader, Russell led a $500M+ service line at McKesson including the integration of SaaS, ERP, and professional services. Russell also worked with business units to assess divestiture opportunities.
- As a result of his experience at KPMG and McKesson, Russell has worked on a variety of transactions within the technology industries, including software, SaaS, networking/communications.
