Ash is a leading healthcare IT executive and advisor with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He currently is the U.S. leader for Healthcare at KPMG, where he helps clients transform their healthcare delivery and operations through innovative solutions across the ecosystem. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Ash serves as a lead partner on a Fortune 15 account, and is a trusted advisor to various healthcare audit committees and boards, including advising the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Ash is also actively involved in Lake Nona where KPMG has a state-of-the-art learning and innovation center called Lakehouse.
Throughout his career, Ash has worked with some of the world’s leading IT and consulting firms, making him a sought-after commentator at various industry events and in the media and industry analyst community. He is a recognized thought leader and influencer in the healthcare IT space, frequently quoted and featured in media outlets such as Bloomberg, Forbes, Health Affairs, Chief Healthcare Executive, Modern Healthcare, and Becker’s Hospital Review. In 2023, Ash was featured on the cover of Healthcare Everything representing KPMG as one of the top 10 most trusted consulting firms in the industry. He has also authored various thought leadership pieces such as Healthcare 2030, on the board agenda, the role of Gen AI in healthcare, reimaging the healthcare workforce, M&A trends, and cloud migration.
Experience:
Ash’s previous experience includes serving as the Senior Executive Director Healthcare for Americas with Cisco, where he was responsible for payers, providers, and life sciences accounts, including prestigious organizations like the Mayo Clinic, WellPoint, Cigna, Wellcare, Medtronic, and Kaiser. He also led the development and deployment of telemedicine solutions with key clients and government agencies
Prior to his role at Cisco, Ash was the Vice President Health Solutions for Wellpoint, supporting over 32 million members in enterprise applications. He has also held senior positions with KGT Global Technologies, IBM, and Accenture, leading executive teams in the U.S. and around the world through major change programs in hospitals, medical service providers, physician group practices, and managed care organizations.
Ash’s breadth of experience is further exemplified by his early roles as the owner of his own consulting and medical management business, as well as his time at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he managed a $250 million annual budget for several departments, including Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Lab Medicine, Managed Care, Cancer, and Pharmacy.
Education:
Ash holds a Masters in Hospital and Health Administration, as well as an MBA and BS in Psychology from Xavier University.
