Accounting Advisory Services Leader for Deal Advisory & Strategy
Marybeth is the Accounting Advisory Services Leader for US Deal Advisory & Strategy. In this role, she is responsible for the team that provides accounting advisory services for buy and sell side transactions, IPOs, restatements, bankruptcy, and other complex accounting matters in the US. Prior to taking the role as AAS leader, Marybeth was the AAS Industrial Manufacturing sector lead.
Marybeth has broad experience in both technical accounting and project management for IPO, buy-side, sell-side and technical accounting projects. She has managed multi-disciplinary teams of accounting, tax, IT to bring a comprehensive plan around various transactions to her clients. Marybeth has significant sell side experience including both spin-offs and sales to corporate and private equity buyers. This experience includes assisting companies with carve-out financial statements, SEC filings and technical accounting issues such as discontinued operations. In addition, Marybeth has assisted clients with multiple buy-side transactions that have included purchase accounting, GAAP conversions, technical accounting issues and Controller’s office integration.
Marybeth spent three years overseas in the Belgium Department of Professional Practice and during this time gained deep knowledge of IFRS. This knowledge of GAAP conversions has helped her be successful in many buy-side engagements that involve GAAP conversions and cross border transactions.
Prior to her time in Belgium, Marybeth was in the KPMG external audit practice. During her time in external audit Marybeth advised her clients on numerous technical accounting, internal control and operational matters.
Outside of her role at KPMG, Marybeth serves on the Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team, has been a Circle of Red Society member and has served on the Susan G. Komen finance committee.
