Larry Schwartz has over 20 years of experience providing audit services to clients across a variety of industries, focusing mainly on retail and manufacturing clients. He has served a wide range of public, private, and multinational companies. His experience also includes business combinations, SEC reporting, asset impairment and revenue recognition.
Larry recently returned from a five-year secondment with KPMG Shanghai, where he was the Asia-Pacific Regional Coordinating Partner for a large industrial manufacturing client, responsible for coordinating and executing the annual integrated audit, over 300 statutory audits, as well as serving as the lead partner on the shared service center.
Larry has participated in the firm’s internal quality review process as a reviewer and has served as the National Office liaison during external inspections. He also completed a rotation in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice where he advised audit engagement teams on complex accounting and audit matters, helped develop firm-wide guidance and participated in root cause analysis for various inspection hot topics. He has also instructed national KPMG training programs and provided technical topic updates to local universities and accounting associations.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is currently on the board at Louisville Fund for the Arts.
