Joe Schneider

Joe is a Managing Director for KPMG CF LLC’s Insurance Group, and is based in the Chicago office.

He focuses solely on the insurance sector providing strategic and M&A related advice to P&C and life carriers, brokers, MGAs, TPAs, insurtech and other insurance related businesses.

Joe has managed a wide variety of corporate finance mandates including buy-side, sell-side, mutual holding company merger, private placement, fairness opinion and strategic advisory assignments. Clients have ranged from privately held, family owned businesses to large, international publicly traded companies as well as governments.

Joe also co-leads KPMG’s autonomous vehicles and insurance initiative and is an internationally recognized thought leader on the subject.  He has been quoted widely on the topic and has presented KPMG’s proprietary findings to the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance at the US Treasury.

Before joining KPMG CF LLC, Joe worked in investment banking at Barclays in London, where he was a member of the Financial Institutions Group, advising insurers, asset managers and banks across Europe on M&A, capital raising and other corporate finance matters.

Joe is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where majored in finance and Spanish.  He holds an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
