Louise Santacruz
Executive Director, Dept. of Professional Practice
Louise is an Executive Director in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP) and focuses on global sustainability reporting and sustainability-related accounting initiatives, particularly in the US and Latin America. She has played a significant role publishing thought leadership and training professionals on the ISSB and CSRD standards and the FASB’s accounting for environmental credit programs project. Louise also leads DPP strategic initiatives in Latin America where she spends time working with US and LATAM leadership on international activities. She authors firm handbooks including Employee Benefits and Climate Risk in the Financial Statements.
Before joining DPP in 2008, Louise was part of the New York audit practice where she served public and private clients in the technology, media and telecommunications industries under US GAAP and IFRS. At KPMG, she leads the DPP Culture & Inclusion Committee, represents DPP on the NY Office Culture Council, and is on the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) leadership council for the NY Office. Outside of the firm, Louise is a Trustee of Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan, on the parent committee for the Buckley School, and the parent manager of her son’s Asphalt Green travel soccer team.
Louise holds a BS degree from Georgetown University and an MBA degree from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY. Louise is fluent in French and a licensed CPA in New York.
