Vishal is a Director within Accounting Advisory Services. He has more than 10 years of experience across KPMG In the US and UK focusing specifically on insurance clients.
KPMG US (2018 to now)
Vishal recently joined Accounting Advisory and is currently focused on IFRS 17 GAP Analysis and education with Global / US clients. He participates on various client service teams in order to identify issues and potential solutions for these clients.
He is also currently the US lead on a large scale global integration which involves: Accelerating the financial reporting process; Rebuilding the Ceded Re process; and Redesigning SOX controls to remediate current SOX deficiencies. He is also part of the team that is working on supporting the client in transitioning the client to IFRS 17.
KPMG UK (2017 to 2018)
Vishal’s experience spanned across audits and advisory which has included accounting advisory as well as transactional work; most of his experience has been client facing. This has involved large multinationals with operations across the globe (US, Bermuda, UK and Asia). Key projects include: Rights issues and IPOs; Debt issuances; Re-domestication; Acquisition accounting for M&A activity; M&A valuation assessment – buy side and sell side.
Vishal’s experience of the insurance spans P&C insurers, life insurers, brokers and managing agents. He is also highly experienced in dealing with clients operating in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market including those with headquartered in the US as well as Anglo-Bermuda clients.
Vishal’s main bases of accounting expertise are across the IFRS and UK GAAP bases of accounting. He also has experience with US GAAP through working with clients who report on multiple bases. Vishal is also experienced with various regulatory / reporting regimes including Solvency II and SOX reporting.
Vishal has also provided Internal Audit outsource provider services to insurance clients.
