Karen Nye
Director, Corporate Communications
Karen Nye is a communications professional at KPMG in Chicago. She places the chief economist Diane Swonk and other executives in high-profile publications, television and radio programs where they can share their expertise while highlighting KPMG's brand.
Karen began her career in television news at CNN in New York, then joined CNBC as producer, anchor fill-in and London Bureau Chief. She was recruited by NBC News in New York to produce business news for the Today Show and the Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and report for MSNBC. The BBC hired her to report on-camera economic and business news during the financial crisis, one of the first Americans on the channel.
Having interviewed Diane so many times over the years, it seemed natural to finally join her team in Chicago, where Karen also media-trained executives and crunched ad-equivalent numbers for earned media at Mesirow Financial, DS Economics and Grant Thornton before coming to KPMG.
Karen earned her master’s degree in economic history from the London School of Economics. Her BA in English Literature is from the University of Florida.
