Professional and Industry Experience

  • Buy-side operational diligence – Engaged by Private Equity firm and respective portfolio company to assess synergy opportunities available between one of the largest global secondary ticket marketplace and the portfolio company. Identified substantial savings opportunities through optimization of go-forward organization structure. Developed model to estimate savings opportunities available on Paid Search marketing using outside data sources. Estimated one-time costs related to achieving synergies identified in diligence and costs related to integration of the two organizations.
  • Marketing effectiveness assessment and initiative planning – Engaged by major SaaS Unified Communications and Collaboration provider to assess their current state marketing effectiveness and recommend improvement initiatives and future state marketing function design. Developed guiding principles to create cohesive marketing structure across business units. Integrated stakeholder interviews and leading practices to recommend KPI and marketing technology architecture. Utilized data analytics to identify high-performing marketing levers. Identified high-priority initiatives for the organization to address in short and long-term to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • 5G End-user demand model creation – Engaged by large US telco provider to create end-user demand forecasting model which incorporates expectations for subscribers, usage and revenue impact from 5G rollout. Created flexible tool that allows Chief Strategy Officer and head of FP&A to forecast end-user demand for multiple cities and regions. Developed forecasts for multiple US markets through 2024 incorporating research and insights on impact of 5G. Integrated demand model with network costing model co-developed with KPMG Portugal Network engineering team used to project cost per GB of 5G network under multiple scenarios.
  • Capital expenditure baseline and process analysis – Engaged by major media data research company to create baseline of historical and budgeted capital expenditures and assess the current state of the capital expenditure processes. Created baseline of historical capital expenditures through utilizing data analysis and stakeholder interviews. Identified areas to reduce capital expenditure spend in the near and medium term utilizing analysis of capital expenditure baseline. Extended analysis to include future budgeted capital expenditures, incorporating learnings from historical analysis to recommend opportunities for savings.
