Specializing in GDPR and CCPA, he & his team assist global organizations understand their regulatory/business exposure and support building out their privacy/cyber programs and business processes to meet these privacy regulatory requirements & ever increasing customer expectations.
Austyn, a seasoned Information Security and Privacy professional has over 20 years Global Commercial IT experience, 13+ years of which has been consulting and assisting global Blue Chip companies identify, quantify and mitigate Information Security and Privacy Risks. He has led multiple Information Security/Privacy engagements - including audits, assessments and solution implementations - for both large and small clients. He works with all levels of client stakeholders from system administrators to the C-Suite including CISOs, CPOs, CIOs, CAOs and General Counsel, recognizing the varying levels of technical, legal and business understanding, as well as different and often times conflicting interests and priorities.
His client experience spans various industry sectors from FSI to Tech, Pharma to Retail and all sizes from Silicon Valley startups to large multinationals. Recognizing that each company is unique, he and his team seek first to understand the business, the strategy, the company culture, the key data assets, and the risk appetite before assessing potential cyber and data privacy risks and the impact they may have on the company. He combines a strong technical background (engineering) with solid communication abilities to articulate these risks and associated solutions to senior management stakeholders.
