Sam is a Director in the Private Equity Group working for KPMG in the US, based in New York, covering relationships with private equity funds and their portfolio companies across KPMG’s audit, tax and advisory services.

Prior to this, Sam was Executive Lead to the UK Chair & Senior Partner for KPMG in the UK. There he was responsible for client facing, regulatory and policy matters in the Chairman’s Office. He was also responsible for the UK firm’s representation at KPMG’s Global and EMEA governance committees as well as coordinating the firm’s annual delegation at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Sam has over ten years experience in financial services, specifically wealth management, family offices and private equity. He started his career in 2010 in London. Before joining KPMG, Sam worked for a small private bank in London. Initially, he advised wealth management clients department before helping to establish a business strategy team to deliver internal projects including acquisition work.

Sam has been recognized as a Future Leader by Citywealth, a leading wealth management publication, and as one of 20:40’s Leaders of the Future. He is Chairman of The Funding Network, a crowdfunding charity which has raised millions for social impact charities around the world. He is also an Ambassador for Stonewall, a charity promoting LGBT+ rights.
