Liz is a Principal in the Financial Institutions & Products group for the KPMG Washington National Tax group. She is also the Tax Sector Deputy for the KPMG National Banking and Capital Markets practice.
Liz has more than 27 years of experience in federal and state taxation and provides consulting on a wide range of tax issues relevant to banking and capital markets. Current and past clients include leading entities in the financial services industry. She spends much of her time on federal tax planning, compliance, and provision work for banks and finance companies. She has worked on numerous projects for banking organizations, including internal restructurings, tax calculations, and accounting method changes.
Liz also consults with financial services clients to identify and develop more efficient tax department processes, which include customized technology tools tailored for financial institutions. In addition, she has extensive experience with state and local tax planning and state tax technical support for clients in the financial services industry. Liz has assisted numerous financial institutions with successfully resolving state tax controversy issues and in redesigning structures to improve state tax efficiencies.
Liz has addressed federal and state tax issues at many tax conferences, including the Bank and Capital Markets Tax Institute. Liz has BA and MBA degrees from the University of Rochester and an MT degree from the University of Denver College of Law.
