Luis Laguerre

Luis Laguerre joined the firm in 1987 and became a partner in 2000. His area of expertise is accounting and taxation. 

Luis has had the opportunity to travel to many places of the world, from Hong Kong to New York, Melbourne Australia to Lima Peru, and this has let him to understand the global nature of accounting and tax issues. When Panama decided to start the negotiation of double taxation agreements, Luis was honored with the role of head of the negotiations team, which provide him with the opportunity to clarify in the international forum the details of Panama's taxation system, in an effort to increase the country's competitiveness as an international financial and services center.

Luis participates in the Panamanian Institute of Accountants, the Association of Business Executives (APEDE) and more recently at the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama, among other associations.
